11~15% suki: Mamoru, Aya, Nana, and more!

More of an image dump than anything constructive but the spending bug bit me again resulting in another 100USD on magazines I can never take good scans of! Blast the Japanese for having some weird non-english/US standard for my scanner to use!

A whole bunch of quick shots and some dirty scans after the jump, but for those interested in what is actually pictured they are from left to right: Morikawa Yuki’s “White Album” character single (aka Aya Hirano), Fate/Stay Night: Saber Portraits, VOiCE Newtype No. 0031 (Apr ‘09), Pick-Up Voice 2009 vol. 17 (May ‘09), Seigura Apr 09 Edition, and Seiyuu Animedia Apr 09 Edition.

Also for the record, no I am not THAT big of a fan of Mamoru Miyano but I do enjoy the majority of his roles. Thankfully the magazines with his face on the cover have enough Nana-chan goodness to make it worth buying anyways :D

notdotq: Moving On and Up

Written by on April 2, 2009 – 10:31 pm -

After six months of working in the Communications Department at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, I was tired of WordPress and webdesign. After a little more than half a semester at U.C. Berkeley, I am tired of Descartes, religion, bloodshed, drugs, Spinoza, Afghanistan, lies, truth, Berkeley, my own radical views, and all that stuff that comes with a liberal arts education. I have learned something new about myself: I’m not easy to please.

So, I have decided to transfer.

Along with my compadre lolikappa (aka Ben), I am heading for Tokyo ICU this July. This may seem like an extreme move, but I have discovered–against the wishes of my indignant ex-girlfriend–that my time with Ben is the happiest time of my life. He has carved out a place for himself in this world in Japan, and I will follow him, even if it means leaving boredom behind.

In case any of you are less fickle than I, and are reading this as friends of mine after all these years, you might be quick to warn me that this is quite the expensive endeavor, especially given that I will doubtless grow tired of Ben just as I did of Sekai, Kotonoha, yachts, science, God, and the color green. I will respond to this worry with an outline of my ten-year scenario:

- engage in courses at Tokyo ICU (July 2009)
- watch Ben fail his courses at Tokyo ICU (September 2009)
- fail courses at Tokyo ICU due to empathy (October 2009)
- Ben and I will support each other as we beg on the streets of Tokyo (October 2009-May 2011)
- Ben will remember his calling as a duk, don his shellmet, and combat the forces of evil (June 2011)
(during this time, I will encounter Jesus and work his miracles upon the Tokyo street urchins)
- Ben will grow old and nostalgic and remember his old love, me (December 2016)
- Ben will pick me up, move to Singapore with me, and apprentice himself to his father as JuniorGAE (January 2017)
- Ben and I will rule Singapore happily together until I fall in love with his younger brother, and conspire to kill him to take the throne (February 2017)
- I conquer Japan (June 2017)
- I conquer East Asia (December 2017)
- I will have always been at war with Eurasia (July 2019)

Of course, this is a busy plan, and requires lots of planning to execute properly. Over the next ten years, I will not have time to tend to this site (or any others). It is sad, but I must move on. Anibloggers, entrust your futures to ghostlightning and look forward to enjoying the rapture I bring to East Asia in 10 years. Ghostlightning–I love you.

I’d say something to each of you here, as you are all unique and beautiful snowflakes and I love you all (though less than I love ghostlightning), but I don’t have time. I’ve gotta run to eat my last dinner at U.C. Berkeley residence hall dining commons before quitting school and beginning my plotting.

I’ll miss you, guys, but this is for the sake of world domination.

Flak’s moving up in the world.
